If you didn't already receive an invitation from me, please consider this your expressed personal invitation to a very special 50TH anniversary wine dinner next month.
The word already got out that we were doing another dinner at LUMIERE FRENCH KITCHEN, so we had to add a 2nd night. And I'm thrilled to be bringing in one of my absolute favorite wineries, Mount Eden Vineyards, and the venue is Charlotte's hottest new French restaurant - LUMIERE.
We will pouring the wines from MOUNT EDEN, out of California's Santa Cruz area. Beyond sheer beauty of the area, you might find it fascinating that the region is home to some of the oldest vineyards in California... yes, even older than much of Napa Valley. The original vineyards just adjacent to Mount Eden are those of the first immigrating vigneron to settle California in 1878, Frenchman Paul Masson. I have been working for a couple years now to secure a representative from the winery and we have the right vintages to really showcase this exceptional winery.
MOUNT EDEN is known not only for some of the most sought-after Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in the United States, but they produce some absolutely stunning Red Bordeaux blends.
We will be pouring SIX wines, which we've paired with a thoughtfully designed six-course french-inspired menu exclusively developed by Tom Condron, Executive Chef at LUMIERE. Here is the lineup:
